The College of Human Ecology has pioneered the study of human life from a scientific and social perspective. Our students learn not only to serve people, but also to understand and analyze the relationships and the institutions that shape their lives in the areas of:

We often organize our majors into social topics or themes -- design and technology, human nutrition, health and genomics, economic and social well-being, and development and the life course. These themes demonstrate how profoundly interdisciplinary our majors are and how they draw on and inform each other, as well as other programs across Cornell University.

We are home to approximately 1,300 undergraduates, 200 graduate students, and over 100 full-time faculty. Students enjoy the resources of a large, Ivy League, research university and the advantages of a small school in upstate New York.
