The Cornell Food, Agriculture and Nutrition Group (FANG) formed during the 2006-2007 school year to better understand the links between agriculture, nutrition and health in the context of holistic food systems. The Program in International Nutrition (PIN) and the Cornell International Institute for Food, Agriculture and Development (CIIFAD) are co-sponsoring a series of seminars at the start of the Fall 2007 semester to initiate a dialogue around these issues, and to increase cross-disciplinary understanding of the fundamental concepts, theories, and research methodologies used in food systems approaches to nutrition and health problems. PIN students, interested faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the seminars both on Wednesdays during the normal CIIFAD seminar, as well as on Thursday.
