The leaves are a good green color, fresh and crisp. The root is hard and woody.
Best Way to Store
Best used fresh. Will keep 2-4 days if kept moist by wrapping in damp cloth and placed in a plastic bag.
How to Prepare
Wash leaves in water to remove dirt. If leaves are large remove from stem and cook seperately, if they are small and young they maybe cooked with the stem. The leaves and stem can be cut and eaten raw in salads, cooked in soups, or sauteed for stir-frys.
