Selection Tips
Generally for all varieties the melon has a uniform shape (either round, oval, or oblong) with no cracks, dark spots or bruises.
Best Way to Store
For softer and juicier fruit, store at room temperature for two to four days. Once ripened, fruit should be refrigerated and used within a couple of days.
How to Prepare
Melons are cut open and seeds and strings removed. Can be cut into: halves, quarters, wedges or cubes. The watermelon is cut lengthwise and served with or without seeds. Flavor of all melons can be enhanced by squeezing lemon or lime juice over them.
